IƱupiat Elders share their knowledge about the environment, whaling, and sea ice. Life long residents of Barrow, Alaska, these Elders have insight and perspective to cultural change and environmental shift unique to the world. Elders' recollections are illustrated with animations by Miho Aoki, and archival footage from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Rasmuson Library. All videos filmed by University of Alaska students, and edited by Tyson Hansen and Maya Salganek. Ashley Hutton and Ute Kaden from the UAF School of Education provided important guidance and led the development of lesson plans based on this material. (video page)
